Marketing Strategy

Increasing Online Reviews Through Customer Engagement

Online reviews are the number one resource most business owners are not tapping as a part of their marketing strategy. While the “word of mouth” referrals may not look the same as they did a few decades ago, happy clients talking about your business is the best (and often the least expensive) marketing you can choose to invest in.

Are you tapped into actively pursuing, and following up with, online reviews about your business? No matter if your clients are logging in to Facebook, Yelp, Twitter, or Google, you need to be there to know what they are saying. Here are just a few ways you can increase your number of online reviews, which can not only better your search engine score but can also bring in many new clients to your business.

Ask for reviews, and ask often
Looking for some positive online reviews? Ask for them. As you are talking to happy clients, ask them to leave you positive feedback via a social platform. Many times, customers only head to the internet to complain about service; positive experiences do not drive them to leave an online review. A simple ask from your happy clients could remind them to leave you a review the next time they are online.

Use an incentive
Have you ever used an incentive to increase your online reviews? It’s simple to do, and you can make it a part of your monthly or quarterly marketing plan. Via your social media platforms, let customers know that anyone who leaves a 5 star review within a set timeframe will be entered into a drawing for a determined prize. Post about your incentive often during the designated timeframe and be sure to post about the winner as well.

Make it easy
Finally, you can increase the number of online reviews by providing a link to customers during your correspondence. Consider adding the link for reviews to your email signature and to your customer newsletter as well.

Online reviews are an excellent way to drive new customers to your business. If you are ready to make this strategy a part of your online footprint, give the team at Search SEO Nashville a call. We would love to work with you to meet your business goals!
